Bess Holt

Bess is a multi-disciplinary designer and musician based in North Yorkshire.  Graduating from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2022, Bess moved back to the North of England and set up ‘Turntable Studio’ in 2023 where she now works on projects looking out at a view of rolling hills and heritage steam trains.

Exploring themes of science, transport, technology, nature and folklore, Bess investigates and celebrates them through music, sound, materiality and non-verbal methods of expression and communication. Her work is driven by finding ways to engage new audiences in art and speculative design. Outside of the studio, she is one half of the music group ‘Oh My Dragonfly,’ an incredibly non-proffessional dancer, and avid football fan.
